Welcome!

This is the online publication, Oh Honey! (pronounced as an exclamation).
When selecting an Independent Project topic, I wanted to choose something that I would have fun doing. I figured, ifI'm going to dedicate at least 40 hours of my life to this project, I want to be doing something that I actually enjoy. I never want to live my life dreading a job or project that I feel obligated to do, or just be constantly waiting to clock out of. I've been told to choose a job that I have a genuine passion for; The kind of job that I would look forward getting up to do in the morning, and even forget to eat meals because I was so invested!  Keeping these things in mind, I chose to center my project on what I love; Photography. Everything fell into place after that.
Oh Honey! is a lifestyle magazine geared towards a feminine, teenage audience (although I'm sure everyone can find aspects of this magazine they like).

The goals of this magazine are to act as a reflection of a teenager living in the 21st century,and to provide brain fuel for the teenagers who read it. I've found that when I read magazines, I get bored quite easily. I've never found anything that I can relate to or feel excited about in magazines. Frankly, the articles found in magazines today feel like someone's idea of what SHOULD be in a magazine, not the content that actual teenagers would enjoy. Thus, the following pages are filled with bits and pieces of who I've become, what I've learned, and what I've loved in the past year. I made sure to focus this project on things that I'm passionate about; I hope, as you read, you will join me in my excitement for these subjects!
